Heritage Activities Shine During Easter Holidays: A Celebration of History and Community

This Easter, SYDIC successfully delivered a range of heritage-based activities that brought our community closer to its rich history. Among the highlights was a memorable trip to the Big Pit, where participants enjoyed an engaging exploration of Wales’ industrial heritage. The visit provided a unique opportunity to learn about the lives and stories of those who worked in the mining industry, fostering a deeper connection to our shared past.
In addition, we made remarkable progress in preserving local stories for future generations. Several interviews were recorded as part of our ongoing collaboration with the People’s Collection Wales online archive. These recordings capture the voices and experiences of our community members, ensuring that their narratives will remain accessible and celebrated for years to come.
